My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Salsa is a delightful 3-year-old Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix with a heart as warm as her personality. This beautiful girl loves nothing more than running and playing in the yard, showing off her signature zoomies that will surely bring a smile to your face. She thrives on attention and is a gentle, affectionate companion who’s eager to share her love once she feels secure. Though Salsa can be a bit nervous around new people, especially if they move too quickly, she’s a true sweetheart once she gets to know you. Her ideal home would include older kids who understand her gentle nature and can give her the space and time she needs to feel at ease. Salsa is a dainty player who prefers a calm and low-energy play environment. She can become overwhelmed by large groups of dogs or overly boisterous dog personalities, so she’d do best in a home where she’s the star of the show or with other laid-back furry friends. Having been a mama dog before joining us, Salsa has already shown her nurturing side and is a model patient when it comes to caring for her injuries. Her paw injury has healed, and she’s ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family who can appreciate her sweet and affectionate nature. Please note Salsa is currently residing in a foster home and is not available for same day meet and greets. If you are interested in learning more about Salsa or scheduling a meet and greet, please email the foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.us today!
