My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nova is a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever-mix, who was found as a stray, and sadly, never reclaimed by her owner. This senior sweetheart still has a lifetime of love to give. At her age, Nova knows all about being a good girl, as she is well-mannered, walks well on leash, is gentle, and has the kind of calm, steady presence that only comes with years of experience. Nova is looking for a loving home, where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and peace, relaxing by your side, enjoying leisurely walks, and snuggle up for some quality cuddle time. Come meet Nova and see why adopting a senior dog is one of the most rewarding decisions you'll ever make.

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
