Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dorothy is a very friendly, very curious little girl who would be happiest being adopted with her brother Theo, so they MUST be adopted TOGETHER! She and her three siblings were found on a naval base and would have been euthanized were it not for a brave rescuer. She's been in her foster home since she was four weeks old.
She is very petite for her age and has the cutest little pink nose. She's also a real snuggle bug - she likes to curl up behind your knees when you're laying in bed! When she’s not sleeping in bed with her foster mom, she likes to snooze on the cat tree.
She is a friendly little goofball who pounces around like a monkey when she gets the zoomies. She likes wand toys, the play tunnel, and ball chaser toys, but her favorite thing to play with is her brother Theo. Her foster mom loves how adventurous Dorothy is! She's always the first to investigate anything new. She’s pretty agreeable about most things, but she’s not a fan of having her claws trimmed. She eats wet food (Fancy Feast kitten pate) and dry kibble and loves any kind of treat, but her favorites are squeezy treats like Inaba Churu.
She gets along great with the other cats and two small dogs in her foster home, but she hasn't met any small children yet. Her foster mom thinks she'd likely do fine with kids due to her friendly personality!

‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯
We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

More about this rescue
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.
Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!
We also appreciate donations! Find our most needed items
