Meet Dorothy! She and her three siblings were found on a naval base and would have been euthanized were it not for a brave rescuer! She's been in her foster home since she was four weeks old. Her ears are lighter than the rest of her and make her look so bright! She’s a friendly little goofball who pounces around like a monkey when she gets the zoomies. Her foster mom loves how adventurous Dorothy is! She's always the first to investigate anything new. She likes wand toys, the play tunnel, and ball chaser toys, but her favorite things to play with are her siblings. After a play session, she likes to sleep on the cat tree and on her foster mom's bed. Dorothy eats wet food and dry food and loves any kind of treat, but her favorites are squeezy treats like Inaba Churu. She’s is not a fan of having her nails trimmed.
She gets along great with the other cats and two small dogs in her foster home, but she hasn't met any small children yet. Her foster mom thinks she'd likely do fine with kids due to her friendly personality. She’s a very friendly, very curious little girl who would be happiest in a playful environment with another kitty friend, so please consider adopting Dorothy along with one of her siblings (Theo, Cassandra, Roxy). They’re some of the sweetest little cats their foster family has ever cared for and their future owners are going to be very lucky people!

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
