My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bebe! This Shih Tzu – Terrier blend weighs 11 lbs and is 5 years old, and you can pronounce her name in Moira Rose’s voice (or not). This fun, funny gal is looking for cuddles, stray lizards, and a family who will love her forever.

  • General Behavior: This gal is quite the ham! She’s so hilarious, so fun, and so friendly. She will bolt into your lap and roll over for tummy pats. Bebe prefers to be with humans and gives cuddles and give kisses.

  • Likes & Dislikes: Bebe loves to chase a ball and play with stuffed toys. She also likes to be outside with her human playing and spending a few minutes looking for lizards.

  • Training:  Bebe is a little lady with good basic manners. Her fosters are working with her to stop her jumping on you when she says hello. She does great in a car and loves to see the world go by from the security of her dog seat. She is housetrained if let out frequently and she will let you know when she needs to go out.

  • Medical: Bebe is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog.

  • Other Animals: Bebe does well with other dogs of her size. She just ignores them. She hasn’t been observed around cats yet, but her foster thinks she would be OK with them.

  • Children: Due to her exuberant greetings, Bebe would do best in a home with older children (ages 8-12+) or teens only.

  • Home: Bebe would do best in a single-family home with a securely fenced yard where she can run and hunt for lizards.

  • Grooming: This gorgeous gal will need her hair brushed weekly, and professional grooming every few months.

  • Overall: Bebe will make a wonderful pet for someone with an easy-going lifestyle who can give her the attention and love she deserves.

Do you enjoy cuddles, a laugh, and hanging out in the yard? Then Bebe might be the perfect companion for you! Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family if it’s a potential match for more information. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed.  Her adoption donation is $375.

We are a foster-based rescue organization and do not have a facility. We have all events posted on our website each month.

More about this rescue

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that saves dogs that truly need help. We rescue the "leftovers" from animal control, the dogs nobody wants because they're older or suffer from neglect, abuse or have a medical need. Their "last" day becomes the first day of their new life. We provide the veterinary care they need, a foster family they love and when they're ready, we adopt them to a family who cherishes them. We do not have a physical shelter because every dog lives with one of our foster families. We are all volunteers so your tax-deductible donation goes directly to help the dogs. We have saved over 5,500 dogs since 2008.
