My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Nancy (nancy.hemphill@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

This is Sid. Sid was rescued off the streets where he and a pack of dogs were trying to survive. Sid came into rescue with a horrible case of fleas and ticks and worms, but he was definitely not starving. Sid is a survivor. He is a big dog in a little dog’s body. Sid weighs just under 20 pounds and has short little legs and a longish chunky torso. Sid gets along just fine with the other 8 dogs in his foster home, but he definitely prefers people. He would like nothing better than to be a lap dog. He loves to go on walks and walk pretty well on a leash. He is potty trained and sleeps in a kennel at night. He enjoys his food and treats and laying on the deck in the sun. Sid is a cool dog, if he were a person, he would be Fonzie in the show Happy Days. He looks like a mini gangster and has a heart of gold. Sid is probably about 2 or 3 years old so he is definitely past the puppy stage. He doesn’t chew things up. He doesn’t wake you up at night to potty. He likes to sleep in. He is happy to hang out and chill after a walk so he would make a good apartment dweller. Sid has not been in a home with small children or cats so we can’t speak to how he would do with those things. If interested in Sid, please complete an application on LSAR.rescuegroups.org

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Life Savers Animal Rescue has no physical shelter. Animals are housed in foster homes, so in order to meet a dog, an online application must first be completed and processed and approved. Then a meet and greet will be arranged. This process may be delayed should there be many applicants for one dog, so your patience is appreciated.
