Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
These pups are 8 week old Border Collie mixes who traveled all the way from Mississippi with 8 other pups to find their forever homes! We estimate that their adult weight will be somewhere between 40-50lbs.
They are sweet, sassy, and full of life. They love to give kisses and enjoy playing outside. They are cat neutral and used to spending time with dogs of all sizes and ages. They currently sleep in a play pen and we have introduced a crate with an open door. They already prefer to go potty outside, but always use the potty pads if they have to go over night. So smart already!
Please note, these 3 pups will not leave for their forever homes for another 2 weeks and will need 2 more rounds of vaccinations after that (covered by the rescue along with spay/neuter when old enough). Until fully vaccinated puppies should only explore your home or yard on the ground, but can go out for adventures and socialization with their paws off the ground. No long distance adoptions please!
If you’re interested in fostering or adopting one of these sweet puppies, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt or email us if you already have one on file!

Additional adoption info
We will first look over your application and decide if you are a good fit for the dog in question. If we feel that dog is not right for you but have another we would recommend, we will reach out to you. If an application is missing ANY information, or if we feel anything indicated on the application does not align with the care we want our dogs to have, you will be denied.
The next step will be to reach out to your references. Please give them a heads up! You must call your vet and giving them permission to release information about current and past pets in your home to Rosebud Rescue and our volunteers. We will inquire with your vet about the care of current and past animals in your home and their vaccination status, spay/neuter status, monthly preventatives, etc. If renting, we must get confirmation from your landlord that you are able to adopt a dog. Please understand that reaching out to your references is time consuming, and we will only call once. If we are unable to get sufficient information from the references provided in a timely manner, we will not be able to approve your application.
Once fully approved, a representative will get in touch with you to schedule a meet and greet. The first meet and greet will be with human family members at our rescue or the dogs foster home. If there are other pets in your home we will do a slow and proper introduction at the home check.
Our adoption process is slow, well thought out, and in the best interest of our dogs and their adopters. In an effort to not rush things, we place a pending adoption status on our dogs after a meet and greet is scheduled. After the initial meet and greet, you will have 1 week to follow up with us on your decision before the dog is made available for adoption.

More about this rescue
Rosebud Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in West Falls, NY specializing in herding breed dogs. Our goal is to rehabilitate and rehome to owners who understand the needs of a high energy working dog, and to offer permanent sanctuary and safe management for those who have been deemed unadoptable to the general public.
While we'll do our best to help any dog in need, our focus is primarily on herding breeds. These breeds are often misunderstood due to their drive, energy level, and instincts. Our goal is to provide our adopters with the education and tools to live healthy, fulfilling lives with these incredibly smart and loyal dogs!
Another area of focus for us are dogs with disabilities, behavioral issues, or medical issues. These dogs often require some extra attention and care in one way or another and we pride ourselves on taking the time to work with them to not only make their quality of life the best it can be, but to also help our adopters maintain that care after welcoming their new 4-legged family member.
