***COURTESY POST*** Lucky, a delightful friend bursting with charm and energy. Lucky is the epitome of sweetness, always ready to shower you with affection and tail wags. Lucky's love knows no bounds, making him the perfect friend after a long day. His active nature means he's up for any adventure, especially hikes where he can explore the great outdoors by your side. If you would like to meet Lucky, please complete an adoption inquiry at: https://www.orcaspets.org/dogrequest.html Requests will be shared with Lucky's owner. Disclaimer: The companion animal you are interested in is a courtesy post. Orcas APS often helps dogs and cats outside our organization to find new homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners, we offer our website (and sometimes email assistance) as a resource to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Orcas APS in most cases has not met or evaluated these companion animals, so no information about a courtesy post dog or cat is guaranteed. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by any courtesy post animals. Courtesy post pets are the sole responsibility of the owner and the new family. In addition, Orcas APS cannot take these pets in if the courtesy post adoption does not work out. Also, although we occasionally might ask you to email us (if you’re interested in adopting a courtesy post pet), it’s just so we can help the owner connect with applicants. The owner will be rehoming the pet directly to the new home, not from Orcas APS.

Our shelter is located on Orcas Island in Washington State. Our adoption policy is to always try to find a suitable home for a pet here on island before looking else where. If a suitable owner is not found, we then widen our search to those in San Juan County and outlying areas. If you are looking to adopt from outside of the U.S., please be aware that this would be highly unlikely and only under special circumstances that we would choose to do so.
