My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wallace—your new adventure buddy! Looking for a four-legged friend to add excitement and love to your life? Say hello to Wallace, a charming 4.5-month-old hound-pitty mix who's ready to steal your heart!

His white coat is adorned with adorable tan spots on his ears and a cute tan patch around one eye, topped off with a spotted pink nose—Wallace is as handsome as he is lovable. His floppy ears and irresistibly cute face are sure to melt hearts wherever he goes.

Wallace is the perfect blend of sweetness and spunk. This adorable boy has a heart of gold and a personality to match. His playful nature will keep you laughing, while his strong will and stubborn streak will keep life interesting. Thankfully, his stubborn side is balanced by his incredible affection for people of all ages, making him a true family dog.

This social butterfly gets along swimmingly with everyone—kids, cats, and fellow canines alike. Speaking of swimming, Wallace is a natural water baby! He'll be your ideal companion for beach days, lake trips, or even just splashing around in the backyard.

When he's not making waves, Wallace loves nothing more than a good game of fetch. His boundless energy and enthusiasm for play make him the perfect partner for active families who enjoy outdoor adventures.

But let's be real—Wallace is still a puppy, and with great cuteness comes great responsibility. He's in his teething phase, so he'll need a patient family willing to guide him through this stage with love and consistency.

If you're an active family looking for a fun-loving, people-pleasing pup to join your adventures, Wallace might just be your perfect match. Are you ready to give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves? Contact us about Wallace today and prepare to fall in love with his wagging tail, soulful eyes, and irresistible charm. Your next great adventure is waiting—and his name is Wallace!

More about this rescue

Rescue, Retrain, Redeem, and Re-home.
Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc (aka R4) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization based in Lake County, Illinois. R4 functions as an all-breed and ages, dog and cat rescue that specializes in behavioral training and rehabilitation. We are a professionally operated nonprofit dog and cat rescue run by certified dog trainers. We believe the solution to “difficult” animals cannot just be euthanasia. Our mission is to place dogs and cats that have undergone our rehabilitation program with responsible, reliable, and devoted owners. Our training specialty is centered in dog behaviors and understanding the canine mind. We take in all breeds, all ages and work with domesticated felines and feral cat colonies as well. Our expectations of adopters: 1- Consider the animal as an individual with their own personality and behaviors. 2- Be willing to learn, ask questions, and implement training into their daily routine. 3- Work alongside our team to prepare their home to provide the best environment for their new family member. R4 is 100% volunteer-run and foster-based and relies on donations, fundraisers, grants, and sponsorships to allow our organization to fulfill our mission to animals in need.
