Buttermilk is an 11yr old neutered male Puggle. He weighs about 28 lbs. Buttermilk's owner sadly passed away and the remaining family decided they didn't want him and dropped him off at our local shelter. Poor Buttermilk didn't understand what had happened to his beloved owner and his home for the past 11 years. He was scared and confused. We heard about Buttermilk and decided we needed to help to heal his broken heart. He is a wonderful dog. He still likes to go for a walk and will play with a toy. His favorite past time is making sure the couch doesn't move by laying on it and keeping it in place. He isn't a demanding dog. He needs love, food and a soft bed to sleep in. He has been seen by our vet and he is in good health. He has been great with children and other dogs. We are unsure about cats. He is house trained . He is up to date on shots and wormed. We reserve the right to check on any adopted animal in the future, and as a final measure, will reclaim the animal if improperly treated or housed, or if false statements were made on the adoption application.
We insist that you have your animal checked by a veterinarian within 3 days of adoption. We do what we can when they arrive into rescue but any and all dogs can harbor illnesses that will not show for up to 7-10 days after being exposed to it. This is not something any shelter, dog pound or rescue can control, you will find this in any enviroment you go to that does not know the past history of an animal.
We can not control the personalty of any animal, as we do not have past history on all the animals that come into our rescue organization. We do our best to temperment the animals and will do our best to fit the animal with a forever home that we feel is best for the animal. We will be available after the adoption if you feel you need help in anyway to correct any issues you may run into in the future with your new family member.

All our babies are home foster unless they require a farm atmosphere, then they are taken to the farm, that has been generously donated to us to use. We will be starting to adoption events soon, so please watch our site for updates on dates and times. Please feel free to email or call us if your looking for something special as we do keep a list of wanted pets and work from that list as we get them in.
