She can be shy at first, but it doesn't take long to see the rockstar waiting patiently to shine with her furrever family! She loves people with a passion that comes out in unstoppable bum wiggles.

Joan Jett needs a family who will provide structure and work through basic training with her. She already knows sit and is eager to learn more!

She's a bit of an introvert around other dogs. At the moment, we notice she does best with neutral dogs. With proper introductions, she'd do well in a family with other dogs. She hasn't met any cats yet, but she'd likely do well as long as boundaries are set and proper introductions are provided. She is currently getting over kennel cough and will need some space and time prior to introductions as well.

We do a very thorough screening interview, where we go through all of our policies, regulations and asking very detailed questions.
We perform a home and reference check.
Reference checks are your vet and two personal,
once all of those are completed,
we approve you.
you will out a liability waiver, and then set up a meet and greet
if the dog is the right fit, you sign the adoption agreement, pay the fee and on you go home with your new fido friend!

Bark at the Moon Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected, and abused animals. Bark at the Moon Animal Rescue is completely funded by the support of the community through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering prior to their adoption.
