Meet Iggy: The Sweet Adventurer!
Iggy may have started off a bit shy, but this sweet pup has a heart full of curiosity and adventure. During a recent outing with a volunteer, Iggy showed her true colors.She hesitated to leave the shelter initially, thanks to some morning vacuuming, and was unsure about getting into the car. But once she was in, her excitement shone through! Iggy absolutely loves car rides—especially with a cracked window to sniff out all the new scents.On their outing, Iggy thrived. She enjoyed exploring the parking lot, sniffing out new smells, digging in the sand, watching geese, and, of course, savoring some treats. Her enthusiasm was evident, and she made the most of every moment.

So much so, that when it was time to return to the shelter, Iggy was having so much fun she needed a little help getting back inside, as she was reluctant to leave her adventure behind!

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
