Beans is a sweet, unique kitten with a black spot over one eye making him look just like the famous Target dog! He’s playful, affectionate, and full of love, but his journey has been heartbreaking.
In August, Beans was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). The day before his diagnosis, he was chosen by an adopter who promised to wait for him until he completed his treatment. But that promise was broken—without telling us, she adopted a different kitten from another rescue, leaving Beans without the home he had been dreaming of. He spent weeks thinking he had a family waiting for him, only to be left with nowhere to go.
Beans has made wonderful progress on his treatment and will need daily medication until November, which we will donate to his future adopter. He’ll also require bloodwork at the end of his treatment to ensure he’s fully on the mend.
