My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little cutie was brought into foster care with Texas CARES from a local shelter.  Apparently, a Good Samaritan found Rolo all by himself at less than a week old – his eyes weren’t even open yet.  Luckily, Rolo was in overall good shape and just needed lots of TLC from his foster mom to help him grow big and strong.   He has been an absolute joy to raise but it’s time for Rolo to make his way to a permanent, lifelong home.

If you are lucky enough to find one for adoption, bottle baby kittens like Rolo make incredible pet companions.  Since Rolo was handled constantly from such a young age, he really craves human affection and connection. Rolo is definitely a bit of an “old soul” type.  He never seems to be in any rush and has a lovely, low/medium energy level.  Rolo has plenty of playful kitten in there but tends to be the first among the foster kittens to throw in the towel on the baby shenanigans.  He will come lay smack on your chest, heave a deep sigh, and tuck his head under your chin before falling asleep at night.

It should be noted that Rolo was introduced to Alcie, another orphaned bottle baby, at about two weeks of age (she’s the one with the white in the pictures).  They became fast friends and have wonderfully complimentary personalities.  It is not an absolute requirement, but a paired adoption of both Rolo and Alcie would be a win-win:  the kittens have each other when left alone, and the humans get double the joy!

Rolo is litter box trained, microchipped, combo tested (negative for FIV and feline leukemia) and up to date on vaccinations.  If this adorable love bug sounds like a good fit for your family, please inquire or submit an adoption application today!
