My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet my most handsome and sweetest boy Charlie! He is a 6 month old purebred creamy white colored golden retriever. He has an exam set up with our vet on 7/2/24 which is when he will be weighed, and I'll make sure to update his post once I have it. He will be current on all vaccines, microchipped, have a thourel exam, and be completely cleared by my vet prior to adoption who will be sending home a health certificate with him as well.

He is doing PHENOMENAL at house training, and as most boys needs a bit of reminding and encouragement here and there but for the most part he totally gets what we are asking of him and is happy to see us happy ❤️ He is crate trained, and will sleep in a crate at night if you desire, or to nap during the day in. He does enjoy lounging on a dog bed in the room or under your bed if high enough (I think he likes it under there because it's dark, and cool.) He is NOT a barker, unless he needs something and that typically only happens when he is in the crate and needs to go out to potty otherwise he is rather quite, and laid back especially in the home. He does love to play outdoors and will run around to his hearts desire if it's not to hot otherwise he is a total air conditioner kinda guy 😂 He is young, and full of life, but enjoys literally just being a part of YOUR life, however that looks day to day.

He is working on leash training, and is getting better as it's been very hot so his only training has been around our home when it's cool outside. He is WONDERFUL with all dogs, and cats alike as he grew up with cats prior to coming to us and well he is just a puppy who LOVES to LOVE so I'm sure any and all animals would be welcomed into his heart unconditionally 💙 He loves everyone he meets, and tries to act shy at first but I assure you it's a ruse 😂 I know he secretly wants to lay in your lap for belly rubs but is just trying to figure out how to do it incognito so he can just skip the introductions 🙃

He is so goofy, and such a character that it's EASY to LOVE him just the way he is 💙💙💙💙💙

His prior owners owned Mom and Dad, and mom became pregnant before they were able to spay her. They rehomed all her puppies, and decided to keep Charlie because of his beautiful personality but due to perosnal reasons beyond their control they could no longer keep him 😢 They reached out to us, and asked us to please take him in and find him a home as wonderful as him and we of course agreed 💙

His adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under his listing.

It covers his vetting, time, care, and training since with us. He will be current on all vaccines, microchipped, thourely examined, and have a health certificate that will go home with him prior to his adoption. No, he is not neutered. He is much to young, and it's best to wait for him to fully mature prior to sterilization so he will be going home on a neuter contract. We did spay, and neuter both of his parents in turn of him coming to us, so as always part of your contribution to his adoption fee will go back into his rescue as a whole by making sure his parents were taken care of even though they didn't come to us here💙❤️

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

Since we adopt all over the US and Hawaii we are unable to visit all adopters homes due to distance, so we initially do phone interviews.

2.

Home Check

Due to us adopting all over the US and Hawaii we are unable to do in person home checks so we schedule FaceTime calls, request photos/videos

3.

Approve Application

We don't have "generic applications" but instead do phone interviews going over all questions needed to move forward with an adopting family

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Due to distance, we will either handle contracts via email, or in person if we are able to meet in person.

5.

Pay Fee

Adoption fees are paid at time of adoption when the adopting pet is officially with the adopting family unless otherwise agreed upon.

6.

Take the Pet Home

Adoption is complete when all steps above are done.

Additional adoption info

Any additional questions please email us or visit our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org where you will learn all about who we are, the work we do, and our adoption process along with how our out of state adoptions work along with travel cost information.
