My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fern is a 2 year old spayed female registered Border Collie. Her coat is Blue Merle with one brown eye and one half blue eye. She is looking for a person or family to bond with that will give her a good job to do. She is toy driven and of herding lines. She has good energy and knows how to chill out. She is housebroken and crated trained. Needs work to be reliable with small dogs, cats and children. She prefers adults either gender and would be fine in a single dog home. She shows alpha tendencies. Fern is up to date on vaccines and treatments and is ready to find a home.

Additional adoption info

Our Adoption Fees vary according to a percentage of the medical expenses paid for that individual and general care. Pre-Adoption applications via email are needed before scheduling your meet and greet. We request a reference letter from your Veterinarian on business letterhead displaying your address and phone number. All adopted animals are Spayed/Neutered and UTD on shots and treatments. Unless clarified otherwise. Being a Border Collie Breed Rescue we do require some knowledge of the breed's temperament, characteristics, and needs. If you are new to the breed we do suggest that you research to make sure that this breed is right for you. For those others that have been blessed with sharing their life with a Border Collie, you already know the wonder of this breed. Go meet their pets

Choosing a new Family Member takes time and we do not rush our adoption process. Our aim is to make the perfect match for a lifetime of percious memories. Scheduled Adoption Days and Meet and Greets are by appointment either week days or weekends here at Indian Summers Rescue. Please call or email to schedule your appointment to meet one of the Summers BC Gang...they are a Great Group of Rescues each looking for an equally great forever home. While here you can also meet the Summers BC Shelter Gang many of whom are living with cancer. When you say that word to a dog they just smile up at you and wag their tail. We don't tell them they are sick and they live each heartbeat to the fullest.
