My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pebbles was born April 26th – unfortunately, her mom was hit by a car when she was just a few days old and her and her siblings were left for dead.

Pebbles and her siblings were taken into foster care and bottle fed by an amazing volunteer, and now they’re all thriving and ready for their homes!

Pebbles’ mom was a chihuahua, and we think dad was also as all the pups are SUPER small. Pebbles weighs a whopping 2 lbs - We do not believe she will get over 12-14 lbs full grown, if that. It’s a strong possibility she will stay smaller.

Pebbles is so full of life and sass. She loves to talk to you and tell you all about her day and the complaints she had during – her foster mom wouldn’t hold her all day and she had to be on the ground with the other peasant dogs. She wasn’t fed every meal on time, which is just atrocious. Whatever she has to say, you will know.

This girl will keep you entertained and laughing – she loves everyone she meets! Pebbles especially loves her toys and running around with them. She gets zoomies all too often! You can barely see her with how small she is and how fast she goes. Once she’s tired, she will curl up in your lap, or in the crick of your neck, or anywhere that she deems worthy of herself, and go right to sleep.

She is VERY treat and food motivated, as her siblings are.

Pebbles loves to be held and loves to snuggle close to you. She will be your warmth at night (at least to warm up part of your neck, as that’s her favorite spot!).

This girl loves all dogs, loves all cats, doesn’t mind children and would thrive in all types of households. Please keep in mind for young children or extremely large dogs that while Pebbles is tough at heart, she is still very small and needs to be handled with LOTS of care and love.

Most of our animals are located in Texas unless otherwise specified at the top of their bio. They are available for transport once adopted – There are different companies we use, all are USDA licensed. We have transport companies that can go directly to your door (this option costs slightly more, but it’s a smaller transport and more one on one care). This company can go as far as the Canadian border along the east coast.

We use larger companies who are just as fantastic, this transport is included in the adoption fee, but they meet at general stops along the route, depending on where adopters are located for that specific transport. Most transports have stops in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Transports leave every 1-3 weeks, depending. We go over more specifics once you are an approved adopter.

Additional adoption info

Most of our animals are located in Texas in foster care. 90% of our animals are adopted prior to transport, and adopter must pick up animal from the transport company who brings them up north (all USDA companies). We do have private companies that bring them directly to your home/office also. Sometimes we do have animals located in foster care up north - if this is the case we do put at the very top of the animal's profile where the animal is located in the north.

Once approved, we can put you in contact with the foster family to learn more specifics about the animal you are applying for.

We do try and process applications within 1-2 business days. Please make sure to list all appropriate information such as references contact information, vet contact information, current animal information, landlord information, etc.

More about this rescue

We are an animal rescue dedicated to helping neglected, abandoned, stray and homeless animals find their forever homes.

We found a need in our area due to the little to no options for the animals in rural areas in Texas - where most animals that ended up in our shelters were euthanized for space.

We have been around for 5 years and happily adopted many animals into forever homes where they are thriving and living their best lives.
