My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goose is fostered in the St Louis, MO area.

Hi big world, my name is Goose. I am a happy, excitable, friendly 1.5 year old 38 lb mini-Aussie male with mesmerizing eyes. I am quite the “stud”. My old job ended and my new life began a little over a week ago with my foster family. I am still unsure what my new job entails. I must be doing great because I am sure getting lots of hugs, cuddles and having fun during playtime with my foster siblings and humans. I was a bit clumsy the first few days figuring out how doors operate & how to walk down stairs; this is all new to me!

I am getting the hang of eating food from a bowl, walking on a lead and going outside to potty. My foster siblings sure get excited about feeding and treat time! If I drop anything, they are right there to help me clean up. I like sharing, it makes me happy to see them happy. I have been on a few adventures already. Car rides are a breeze! I visited the marina by the lake and met some very nice humans; little ones kept asking to pet me!  I am definitely loving all this attention. My favorite time is cuddle-time in a comfy bed with my family watching tv shows. I am getting used to my crate when my humans are gone. But I prefer being right by their side, even in the shower; I am a great wing-man! So any of you flyboys looking for a co-pilot, I am your guy!

Goose is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, microchipped and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. He does require a committed adopter who is willing to devote 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation per day.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
