Biscotti is a 4-5 year old 60 pound (will be closer to 100lb full weight) mush. She's definitely a gentle giant with a big heart.
She loves going for walks and rides in the car. She is very quiet in the car and will just sit down and watch the world. She jumps very well in and out of the car.
She is housebroken and crate trained. She has not had any accidents while I've had her here. She looks forward to her walks.
She is very loving but she has some reactive traits around food and stubbornness. We are working on gaining her trust to be able to move things she shouldn't have away from her and to pull her away when she doesn't want to move. Eg, to walk her you need to hold her leash and allow her to come to you, she doesn't like to be chased to put it on.
Although she is amazing with our children we would recommend a home willing to work on her behavior with no children under 13 who may forget to not take something from her. I have older children and she has bit them if they try to remove something she shouldn't have but she has not hurt the smaller children and loves them but i still recommend older children or adults only
My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats) Biscotti is great with dogs of all sizes and excellent with children, genuinely loves them! (I would recommend over 13)
My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed) she is crate trained, and house trained. Has not had any accidents. She likes to go in her crate for bedtime.
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): Her energy level is 1. She's very calm, not active at all. Low key girl
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: very quiet, but had a medium bark when playing
Walking Manners: she is a leash walking pro. Does not pull or walk side to side. She'll walk alongside you and stop if you stop. She has no recall and if she gets out she will just wonder off (like any Great Pyrenees)
Appetite: she loves meal time. She has one meal in the morning and one meal in the evening. We sometimes do more if needed as she does need to gain weight.
Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above) None of the above.
Favorite Things: her favorite things are pets and if you stop, she will pick up your arm with her nose!
Commands/Tricks: She knows how to sit, stay, lay down, give the paw and come. She's food motivated so I am sure she can learn more!
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
