My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Herman is a sweet, mature fellow who has embraced his golden years. A perfect day for Herman consists of chasing his ball for about 3 minutes, a good brushing, a couple well timed healthy meals and a full day’s rest. Herman is house trained and fostered with children, dogs, and cats. He has gotten along well with everyone. His eyesight is deteriorating and we believe he is mostly deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest boy. Due to his age (and short legs), he would probably do best in a home with minimal stairs (although his current foster home has stairs and he manages them, albeit slowly).

Good with cats: Yes
Would be fine with young kids (under 10): Yes, as long as the children are gentle and do not startle him.
Good with dogs: Yes
Home activity level: Normal to quiet.
Health concerns or special needs: Deaf and vision impaired. Had senior bloodwork done recently and all looks well for a fella his age!

We believe this dog is a Long Haired Daushaund and was born around 1/20/2010. This puppy/dog is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $200 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If you’re interested in adopting this puppy/dog, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. After you have submitted an and been approved, we will set up a meet and greet between you and the puppy/dog. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about Brave Animal Rescue and our mission.

More about this rescue

We are an entirely foster-based rescue in Lincoln, Nebraska. Because we do not have a physical shelter location, our animals are placed directly into foster homes where they immediately begin learning how to be outstanding companion animals.
