Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adopt Tita - Your New Best Friend!
Meet Tita! This pretty girl has arrived from Mexico, where she was rescued from the streets and brought to safety. Despite her rough start, Tita is an absolute sweetheart with a loving heart.
About Tita:
Age: Approximately 12 months
Weight: About 28 lbs
Breed: Terrier mix (Wheaton or Airedale mixes possibly)
Tita is currently being fostered in the Cobourg area with her foster mom, three dog siblings, and three cat siblings. She's getting along well with the dogs (and enjoys being with them) and is calmly ignoring the cats – she is OK living with cats. Being a terrier mix, Tita does shed so if you are looking for a non shedder and/or have allergies, she may not be the best addition to your home.
Personality: Tita is a fun loving and lovable but sometimes a shy girl who can be a little clingy as she adjusts to her new environment. She adores belly rubs and being close to her people. Sometimes, she may whine if she's not nearby to her foster mom, but that's just because she loves human company so much! She can become bored and sometimes will get into mischief (but what young dog doesn’t) so she will need a family who can keep her occupied with playtime and walks (and maybe a interactive toys).
Training and Behavior:
Tita is doing OK on a leash and is adjusting well.
Her house training is good but some improvement still needed.
She sleeps soundly in bed with her foster mom and dog siblings.
She's eating well and enjoys food.
She understands the commands “no” and “sit”.
Ideal Home:
A secure, fenced-in yard.
Someone who is home often to keep her company.
A dog sibling would be a bonus!
Tita is enjoying life at her foster mom’s home. She has been known to get in pool and enjoys swimming – if you have a cottage or pool she would be great fun. She is friendly with everyone she meets and enjoys being around people and other dogs. Tita would make a great family dog as she is so much fun and full of spunk – we believe should be fine with dog savvy kids (over 10) who would love to have a fun companion to romp with.
If you think you can provide the loving forever home Tita deserves, apply today! She's going to be a wonderful addition to your family. Give Tita the chance to be your new best friend and enjoy a life filled with love and companionship! Apply now and bring this precious girl home.
