If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We have had Murphy since she was a kitten - adopted in Ca. She is a beautiful tortoiseshell/calico mix. She is very loving and sweet when no other cat is in the house. She will lay in your lap and purr instantly. She's confident, curious and not too shy of new people. She is very communicative and will wrap around your legs to say hello.
We moved to NC and took in another female from a kill shelter. We moved to an area that has a lot of community cats and we foster kittens that we trap and took in a sick friendly community cat to nurse him back to health.
This is causing her anxiety, frustration, she is scared and not handling all of the changes well even though we have followed the appropriate introductions.
I feel that it is our responsibility to protect her, but I can not rehome everyone. It's not an easy decision. We have a Golden Retriever and she is fine with him but may not like a dog that wants to play, I want to find her a loving home so that she can thrive and feel safe.
