My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Magnus! ***Foster willing to transport in US***My foster family named me Magnus because I am an amazing dog! I am about 2 1/2 years old, 56lb, and fully potty trained and easily teachable due to my high intelligence! As a matter of fact, I showed up potty trained and knowing how to sit on command-pretty good for a stray with no training! If you are looking for a dog that wants to follow you around and absolutely adore you, I am your boy! I will follow you and show you so much love and devotion- I am a pleaser and love spending time with my human family- I especially love cuddles. Don't let that fool you, though. I can be extremely energetic! I love long walks, fetching (although sometimes I like to play keep away!), and playing with my toys. Did I mention I am a sweetheart and great with cats and other animals? I currently attend doggie daycare to get in my friend time and have been Doggie of the Week because I am very social and playful. I will amaze you at how sweet I am. when playing with other dogs, I let them beat me to a toy and I often bring them toys. I do the same for cats- I want to be loved by all!

I can see myself with someone with a lot of energy that likes to take me on long walks and gives me good play sessions. I am used to my foster mommy working from home, so I love lots of bonding time! I do see toys and certain bedding as a challenge, so my foster mommy makes sure to get me chew-resistant ones. I mind very well and look to please the humans around me. You will be amazed at how focused I am on you- I love "helping" my humans!

Magnus is a courtesy post. BLR is helping with the rehoming process. He is UTD on vaccines, HW negative, and neutered. Same adoption fee applies. Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info

We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue

The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
