Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This good boy, Tundra, is an 8-year-old white Shepard mix who came to Lily’s from San Francisco ACC. Tundra was adopted out in 2016 as a puppy but was recently returned when his family fell on tough times.
Tundra is a true gentleman, well-mannered and eager to please! He loves affection and enjoys being brushed. He gets along with other dogs - both big and small! It seems that Tundra was kept mostly in a crate and as a result has weak hind legs. With time and exercise, we anticipate he will strengthen those muscles right back up! He’s treat motivated and has already learned how to “sit” and is working on “drop it” and “down” with his foster family. He’s been reported to be a very good office mate and all around perfect pal!
Tundra has his own Instagram! Follow along on his adoption journey: @adopt_tundra.
Comments from foster:
" Loves people. After treats, people are his absolute favorite.
-He is soft and gentle with everyone he's met.
- Can be left alone with no separation anxiety (at least for 3.5-4 hours, probably more)
- Is house-trained (no accidents in the house since the second night home)
- Has a soft spot for stuffed animals (especially his duck)
-Is very quiet. Only sounds he's made are a howl at the fire truck or a satisfied grunt when stretching
- Knows sit, down, come, wait, leave it, and drop it (usually (5)
- Good on leash, but does show excitement towards approaching dogs. Does not seem reactive or aggressive, and is easily redirected.
- Does not like having his perfect ears cleaned or nails trimmed but will happily sit and relax while being brushed
- is learning that the crate is a safe place. Went in on his own today and rested with the door open for about 10 minutes"
