Woof! I'm Anvil, and I'm ready to tell you all about myself from my perspective! I'm a goofy and loving pup who adores my humans with all my heart. Despite a rough start in life, I've learned to trust and embrace happiness whenever I'm with people. I'm a total cuddle bug—just call me a "Velcro" dog because I stick to my humans like glue! I've got energy for days, which means I love playing outside and going for walks. Nap time is also a favorite, whether it's on my comfy bed or snuggled up on the couch. Oh, and I'm a bit of a foodie—I can't help but be interested in people food, but my foster family is helping me learn not to beg so much. Now, I'll admit, I have a few things I'm working on. Even though I look grown up, I'm still a puppy and need a family that will work with me to become the best dog I can be! I get really excited sometimes, and that makes me jumpy and mouthy. My foster family has been teaching me not to jump up so much, and they've even introduced a cool command called "on your bed" when I get too mouthy or overly excited. It's like a little time-out, but it helps me calm down and be my best self. Because I am still learning, I probably would fit better in a home with older children. I may be a bit stubborn at times, but with patience and love, I'm learning every day. I dream of finding a forever home where I can continue to grow and share my boundless affection with a family who understands me. Our adoption application process , which includes a home visit, help us to ensure we find wonderful, permanent loving and caring families for each one of our dogs. We feel that honesty is the best policy when it comes to finding homes for our dogs; we want to avoid any unfortunate surprises after you bring your new friend home. After all, we are looking for a BEDR life for our dogs! There is an online adoption application that must be filled completed before a home visit will be set up. We are entirely foster-home based; we do not have a shelter facility. We do have adoption events regularly at pet stores and other locations in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan for upcoming events check out the events on our website or Facebook page.

We are a registered charitable NO KILL Rescue, located in Regina, SK, Canada dedicated to helping dogs that have fallen on hard times (homeless, abandoned and in some cases, surrendered). With the help of dedicated volunteer foster families, our dogs live as part of the family while they are in foster care right up until they move in with their new family. We strive to help with the over-population of pets by making sure each and every puppy*, adolescent and adult dog is spayed/neutered. (*Note: sterilization of puppies is the owner's responsibility and proof of sterilization must be shown at 6 months of age.)
