My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born 3/26/22 Sushi is a female French Bulldog seeking a forever home. Here is a little bit about her: she weighs 22 pounds and is crate and almost completely potty trained. She gets along great with other dogs and humans of all ages, but is not cat friendly. She is an active pup who loves to play with her canine friends. She loves car rides and working on walking politely a leash. She can jump pretty high and her foster family is working with her on not jumping on people for attention. Sushi is a bit of an escape artist, who can open door handles, turn off light switches, and wiggle out of metal crates. She can even jump out of a 4-foot pen. The good news is that she doesn’t run away, she just finds the nearest human to keep company. She isn’t a barker, but she can snore and snort with the best of them. Sushi likes shallow water, and we expect she will love swimming in warm weather. Sushi’s ideal home will be one with someone who she can keep company, and who likes a lap dog. She enjoys the company of other dogs, so having a canine buddy to wrestle and run with is ideal.
Breed experience would be an added bonus as this breed is prone to health issues such as skin fold dermatitis, ear infections and general breathing disorders.
We are seeking a home for Sushi with a secure 6 foot fence and if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

Go meet their pets

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

To find out about these and our other events check us out on Facebook or at our website at MikeysChance.com.

More about this rescue

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
