My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bitsy is a quiet kitty that enjoys relaxing on the screened in section of her cottage. When she is not busy watching everything going on outside, she enjoys the attention and petting of staff, volunteers, and even strangers. Treat time is another favorite of hers. Bitsy gets along great with all the other cats in her cottage and certainly would not mind another cat or two as companions in her forever home. Bitsy is a gentle, loving kitty that would surely add joy and love to almost any home.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
