Hobbes is heartworm positive. DRSF will cover the cost of the treatment (not the heartworm prevention that he needs monthly) as long as the adoptive family is in Palm beach, Miami Dade or Broward county and the treatment is scheduled at one of our partner vets through DRSF. If an adopter is not in one of these counties, they will be fully responsible for the costs of treatment and to provide DRSF with medical records after treatment is complete.

We take an application on all potential foster families that includes two non-family references, a vet reference, and a home visit. Our adoption fees help offset our vetting costs and are based on the age of the dog:

0-1 - $300

1-3 - $275

4-7 - $225

8+ - $150
