Are you looking for the cutest little 3lb poodle puffball? Boots came into Hero Rescue recently from a breeder in south Georgia with a handful of other poodles. (Yes, even rescues get purebred dogs) Boots was the smallest of the group and possibly the loudest, but what is a guy to do to get attention with all these “bigger” poodles around blocking his view. This sassy little guy has the heart of a German Shepherd and is protective of his person. Boots has gone to the bathroom outside every time and one time he tried to go on some pee pads, so we think he was previously trained to go on pads. His fur is so soft, and he get the zoomies outside when he is happy. He wants to cuddle with you all day and never take his eyes off you, he especially likes to crawl up on your shoulder like it is his perch.

While he has lots of pets around in his foster home, he seems happiest when he has his favorite person all to himself. Boots is neutered and learning about a crate, but really prefers to be in your arms getting all the love he can soak up. He will need regular grooming for his fur and because of his protective nature a home without young children would be preferred. He is precious and desperately needs a secure, calm environment that will allow him to relax, he needs a home.

Boots will be your sidekick for life, your shadow, your lap buddy, your protector, and you will be his everything.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
