Who is small, golden brown, extra-long, and delectably cute?...Taquito! This year-old Chihuahua mix is going to steal your heart quicker than you can say guacamole! “Lil T”, is a true joy. This happy little sprite is very friendly, ready to explore the world, and will love being a part of your pack. Like your favorite take out, he may take a few minutes to warm up, but once he does, this little burrito has all the best traits you're looking for in a smaller dog all rolled up into one. Bring the other perros & gatos along because Taquito likes dogs & cats. He’s great with kids too. Taquito loves a fiesta but is just as happy showing you what a wonderful snuggler he is as you both enjoy a siesta after a long hard day. Although he may lag behind a bit on the leash, once he’s sure there’s no danger ahead, it’s all smiles as he easily prances down the path with you. With those big adorable ears he’ll let you know when Door Dash is approaching with your Taco Bell, but most of the time he’s a quiet boy. Taquito loves playing with his toys as he learns your favorite flip flop is not one. Unfortunately, he spent much of his formative years in a crate, so he is still learning how to be the goodest boy. After a night at the Cantina, it might be a good idea to encourage Taquito out to potty, but he's doing better every day at telling you when he’s all filled up. There’s so much to love about this tiny taco you’re just going to eat him up! Taquito will come snipped, chipped, tested and treated. We are asking for an adoption fee of $285 to help jump start him into his furever home. Make a run for the border & grab your Taquito today! All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter for our dogs, vaccinations, heart worm testing/medication, microchipping and any vet care necessary. Once you fill out an application on the adoptables tab on our website, http://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs, a representative will conduct a reference check with your vet provided. A call to the potential adopter will be made when the representative is done verifying the information on the contract.

- To rescue and re-home neglected, abused, or otherwise unwanted pets into loving homes.
- To provide shelter in the form of a lean-to or doghouse to outdoor pets in an effort to keep them dry and warm.
- To provide outdoor dogs with alternatives to chaining in order to improve their quality of life.
- To promote the importance of spaying/neutering pets and to offer this service to pets in our community.
- To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of pet tethering.
- To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their pet happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
