My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mitzi was born April 26th – unfortunately, her mom was hit by a car when she was just a few days old and her and her siblings were left for dead.

Mitzi and her siblings were taken into foster care and bottle fed by an amazing volunteer, and now they’re all thriving and ready for their homes!

Mitzi’s mom was a chihuahua, and we think dad was also as all the pups are SUPER small. Mitzi is the smallest of the bunch as she is the runt, and she only weighs 2.5 lbs. We do not believe she will get over 12-14 lbs full grown, if that.

She may be small, but she is mighty. She does not take any attitude from any of her siblings or the fosters cats! She stands up for herself and it is the cutest thing. She is in no way aggressive, but she knows she sits much smaller than everyone else. Mitzi is a tough tiny thing, and she will keep you laughing for years with her little quirks and hopping around growling trying to show just how big she is.

Mitzi is never late for dinner. She loves her food and is VERY treat motivated. She is not picky at all! She has a tiny head and a sausage roll for her body.

Mitzi loves to be held and loves to snuggle close to you. She will be your warmth at night (at least to warm up part of your neck, as that’s her favorite spot!).

This girl loves all dogs, loves all cats, doesn’t mind children and would thrive in all types of households. Please keep in mind for young children or extremely large dogs that while Mitzi is tough at heart, she is still very small and needs to be handled with LOTS of care and love.

Adoption Fees include - Current parvo/distemper vaccinations, bordatella (kennel cough), rabies if old enough, current simparica trio, dewormers, microchip, health certificate from a veterinarian and transport costs from Texas to the east coast.

Most of our animals are located in Texas unless otherwise specified at the top of their bio. They are available for transport once adopted – There are different companies we use, all are USDA licensed. We have transport companies that can go directly to your door (this option costs slightly more, but it’s a smaller transport and more one on one care). This company can go as far as the Canadian border along the east coast.

We use larger companies who are just as fantastic, this transport is included in the adoption fee, but they meet at general stops along the route, depending on where adopters are located for that specific transport. Most transports have stops in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Transports leave every 1-3 weeks, depending. We go over more specifics once you are an approved adopter.
