My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable little girl is as sweet as possible. She was a runt from a litter of four, only weighing half as much as her siblings. With the patient help and care of fosters, she was able to survive and grow into the healthy, gentle soul she is now. Shy and reserved at first glance, Corona may take some time to warm up to new people. Having a feral mother left her cautious with strangers, but underneath her quiet exterior lies a heart full of curiosity and a longing for connection.

Despite her initial hesitance, Corona is making incredible strides in learning to trust people. With patience, gentleness, and understanding, she's beginning to open up and show glimpses of her true personality. It's a rewarding journey to watch as she gains confidence and learns that she's finally found a place where she's safe and loved.

She follows her foster mom around the house wanting pets and looks up with those innocent doe eyes. It’s hard to resist such a sweet face. When she gets excited about being pet, her tail stands straight up and vibrates! She has the cutest little squeak noises instead of meows. She can be heard squeaking outside the bedroom door to be let in for nighttime cuddles. She will snuggle on the couch for a nap, but her absolute favorite spot is sleeping in bed between your knees.

Since she is a little cautious, she prefers hand approaches from the side vs the front for pets. She likes body pets from the side, back of the head scratches, and sometimes a few chin scratches. Once you start petting her though, that loud purr motor really revs up! She can be picked up but doesn’t like to be held for long.

Corona enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like watching birds from a sunny windowsill or curling up in a cozy spot for a long catnap. She gets along with the foster dog and even snuggles with him on occasion. She absolutely loves her older foster brothers and often finds them for grooming, naps, and comfort. She's not one for loud noises or bustling environments, preferring instead the calm and quiet of a peaceful home where she can feel secure.

Corona is searching for a special someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to give her the space and support she needs to continue to grow. With a patient and understanding guardian by her side, she'll surely flourish into the loving and affectionate companion she's destined to be.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a shy but sweet cat who's learning to trust, then Corona is the perfect match for you. Come meet her today and see for yourself the incredible transformation she's making on her journey to finding love and security.

Medical: she recently had a full mouth extraction due to an infection. It hasn't affected her appetite, and she still eats wet and dry food with no special diet needed.

More about this rescue

A Winning Team

We are a small group of animal lovers who are working together to help facilitate Trap Neuter Release and medical care for animals in need. We are here to help each other help the animals and to partner with businesses, rescues and groups to make the biggest impact.

Our History

Mia (known as “Murderous Mia”) is a rescue cat who came to her mom as a hospice foster with many medical issues. She has overcome a lot of health concerns and in her journey, met a lot of human pals (many of whom are a little frightened of her angsty 4 pd person). She and her pals decided that they wanted to help animals in need. So a group of her people joined together to help do Trap Neuter Release (TNR) to lessen the population and suffering of animals and help cover costs of care for animals in need (dogs, cats, birds... Mia insists on not being specist). She invites all those who want to find a way to help to join her mafia. Her only rules are: 1. the animals come first 2. everyone supports each other and 3. no drama remain calm. The goal is to have fun while we all work together to make life better for the ones we can help.

Animals Are Our Mission

We focus on keeping things positive and supporting each other so that we can be at our best to do the most good for the animals. We strive to collaborate with others and encourage our team to come up with new and better ideas of ways to help and to run with those ideas.
