This clever girl is well-matched with her namesake as the goddess of the hunt. At first glance, she may seem like your typical independent cat, but underneath that confident exterior lies a heart of gold just waiting to be discovered.

Artemis is as spunky as they come! Whether she's chasing after a toy or pouncing on a dangling string, her playful antics are sure to keep you entertained for hours on end. She loves exploring her surroundings and isn't afraid to let her curiosity lead the way. She loves high places; from the top of the kitchen cabinets to sprinting up the wall shelves to take a playful defensive stance against her pursuers.

But don't let her spirited nature fool you—Artemis has a softer side too. Once she's comfortable with you, she'll curl up in your lap for some quiet cuddle time, purring contentedly as you shower her with affection. There's nothing she loves more than snuggling up with her favorite human and soaking in all the love and attention. She loves face scratches and all over body pets.

It took her a while to warm up to the foster dog (he’s quite annoying and nosey) but they now live harmoniously in the house. She has even been caught rubbing against him for affection several times. She gets along great with other cats in the house. They can always be found playing or snuggling together. She seems indifferent about meeting strangers. However, if they have a tube treat then she is all in! She has never met kids but would be fine with any age.

We will use our judgement, based on our knowledge of the cat's history and personality to find the right match. We have the legal right to decline any application for any reason. *We do not adopt out to anyone under 18 years of age. *The cost of spay/neuter, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations, testing for FeLv/FIV, and microchipping is included in adoption fee. *Introducing a new pet to your existing pet(s) takes time and patience. It may takes several days to weeks for the resident pet and new cat to be comfortable together. We have many years of experience with introducing a new cat to the home. We provide advice based on behavioral experts methods in how to best introduce new pets. You agree to follow cat-to-dog or cat-to-cat pet introduction directions for a safe and happy transition.

A Winning Team

We are a small group of animal lovers who are working together to help facilitate Trap Neuter Release and medical care for animals in need. We are here to help each other help the animals and to partner with businesses, rescues and groups to make the biggest impact.

Our History

Mia (known as “Murderous Mia”) is a rescue cat who came to her mom as a hospice foster with many medical issues. She has overcome a lot of health concerns and in her journey, met a lot of human pals (many of whom are a little frightened of her angsty 4 pd person). She and her pals decided that they wanted to help animals in need. So a group of her people joined together to help do Trap Neuter Release (TNR) to lessen the population and suffering of animals and help cover costs of care for animals in need (dogs, cats, birds... Mia insists on not being specist). She invites all those who want to find a way to help to join her mafia. Her only rules are: 1. the animals come first 2. everyone supports each other and 3. no drama remain calm. The goal is to have fun while we all work together to make life better for the ones we can help.

We focus on keeping things positive and supporting each other so that we can be at our best to do the most good for the animals. We strive to collaborate with others and encourage our team to come up with new and better ideas of ways to help and to run with those ideas.
