My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful tabby is full of love and likes to share that with her human. She will rub against the ankle when she wants to be picked up and snuggle.

She is young and likes to play.  She is well past the kitten antic days of her youth.  You do not need to worry about any mischief-making while you are gone from home.   She is well-mannered.  However, she finds a good play session with people hard to resist.

Her fur feels like silk.  She has lovely, large round eyes.  They are so expressive!

Cindy is a great cat & truly deserves a home full of love! Such a sweetheart- with lots of love to give!

• She loves sitting on the couch and watching what is going on around her.

• At night she gets her toys out and plays with them. She loves anything that is a ball shape.

• She especially loves gravy based wet food. Yummy!

• She is also getting comfortable with the small dog in her foster home. They are becoming friends and sit together on the couch.

• She is also very clean with the litter box- this is a good thing.

If you are looking for a sweet, calm, quiet snuggle bug - Cindy is your cat!

She had babies and took such good care of them but it’s time for her to find her forever home.

She is spayed, microchipped, and current on shots.  She has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.  Please submit an adoption application at www.pawsforlifenc.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
