My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Priscilla (intake name), aka Dani in her foster home because foster mom says she is no Prissy. She is being fostered in Dunlap, TN. Dani is a lovable pup…a four month old Aussie pup. She has lots of Aussie energy and a bit of sass. She starts her day with a good rough and tumble and walk and run with her two foster Aussie sibs who she loved at first sight. My Dazie did not especially like her at first, but Dani was relentless and now they are best wrestler and fun friends. After breakfast and an energetic playtime, she is ready for a very long snooze, usually in her crate. A simple “go to your bed” and she will run to her crate. She gets a small treat as a reward and very seldom makes any fuss when the gate closes. Yes, she goes to bed around 8 each night after a good zoomie run and sleeps until around 6 am. Awesome! Dani is not really much of a cuddler but does have her moments, especially mornings after her first outing, but she loves to lie at my feet and always keeps me in sight…when she isn’t wrestling with her friends. I really do believe Dani will be a most loyal companion and sidekick as she matures.

Things to know about Dani:
*She is still in her puppy nipping stage and needs continued training for that. She has never been around young children so that is an issue to consider.
*She needs a fenced area so she can run and chase and release that puppy energy in a safe place.
*She is housebroken, but we go out often. She has had an an occasional accident (wet only) when I just haven’t gotten her to the door in time. She has never had an accident in her crate, even when left for several hours.
*She is crate trained and will take a long snooze there when everyone needs a little break.
*She sits on command and will stay…for a bit.
*She has never shown any signs of aggression toward any person or dog. She loves people! She loves dogs! She is just a happy-go-lucky girl and further training will help to curb her enthusiasm when greeting. (If I go outside for 5 minutes, I get the happiest most excited greeting from her upon my return)
*We are working on leash training for walks with a short leash. She is getting better, but needs further training as she is so very inquisitive about the world and wants to investigate (and eat) every leaf/flower and check out smells along the way.
*Dani exhibits her herding instincts when playing and may do well in a farm setting, but has not been around small animals so her reaction to them has not been tested.
*She loves and plays well with other dogs, but would also be a great fit as the only dog in the household as she loves to occupy herself with toys if not distracted by dogs she wants to wrestle with. A good chew stick will keep her happy and occupied, for sure.
*She loves a good time with other dogs, but a dog bigger than my two good-sized minis may not take well to her desire to wrestle and play.
*She would make a great agility dog! She’s fast and a great jumper. She could be a Puppy Bowl All-Star!
*She is up to date on vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.
*She has not been spayed as of this date.
*She has beautiful green/hazel eyes with a little piece of blue in one.
*She loves a good scratch and rub under her ears.
*She loves to find a stick in the yard and will proudly carry it around as a found treasure..no matter the size.
*She is absolutely food motivated which will make good for further training.
*She ignores thunder and fireworks, but will come on a run when she hears the pantry or refrigerator door open.
All in all, what you need to know about Dani is she will get into your heart with her puppy energy and fun shenanigans and quiet moments.
Dani is looking for that furever home where she can go for long walks, run free and happy in a safe environment, and enjoy an active life with family.
I love this beautiful girl. You will, too. If you are looking for a great little Aussie pup and think she is a match for your lifestyle and home life, please complete an application. I would love to talk to you about Dani.
