My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Henry!

This playful rascal will truly melt your heart! We can't quite believe how cuddly this silly bun is, he absolutely loves pets and is even happy to be held for a short period of time, which is quite unusual for rabbits. He's super inquisitive and he'll hop right over to you to sniff out the situation with his curious little nose. Henry's always curious about what treats you've got tucked in your pockets! He loves veggies and hay, a crucial part of a rabbit's diet! Henry's a relatively clean bun, typically opting to use his litter box, but might make a bit of a mess during his cute zoomies and binkys!

This confident fluffy fella will light up your home with his playful and loving personality as you watch him run and jump his little heart out! He's very playful and energetic! Henry can become over-stimulated, however, which has resulted in him having a bite history, making him best suited for a calm adult-only home. He also had to be separated from his previous lady-friend due to his mounting urges, which means he'll need to be the only rabbit in the home!

If you think you can offer this wonderful bun his forever home, fill out an application form online or come by the shelter. Weekdays 1:00-5:00 PM with the exception of Thursdays as we are closed to the public. Sat/Sun 1-4:00 PM.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

    Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

    Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

    Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

    1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

    2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

    3. Freedom from distress

    4. Freedom from discomfort

    5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
