My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is an energetic and affectionate young dog who is eagerly searching for her forever home. With her sweet and loving nature, Maggie quickly bonds with people she knows well, showering them with endless love and affection. Although she can be a bit shy around new faces, Maggie warms up with proper introductions and patience.

One of Maggie's greatest joys is being around other dogs-she absolutely loves their company and thrives in their presence. Her love for kids is equally evident, as she adores their playful energy and companionship.

Maggie is seeking a highly active home where she can indulge her zest for life. Activities like hiking and swimming are perfect for her, as they allow her to burn off her abundant energy while enjoying the great outdoors.

If you're ready to welcome a sweet and energetic companion into your life, Maggie could be the perfect match for you. With her affectionate demeanor and love for both dogs and kids, she promises to bring joy and excitement to your home every day.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
