And when she knows it's time for her canned food or treats, she turns into a spazzed-out little buzz ball, zooming back and forth between your legs, doing laps around the room, impatiently waiting for you to giver he what she wants!!! Unfortunately, Avocado has been diagnosed with feline leukemia (a virus that has a vaccine available) so she needs to go into a home as an only cat or with cats that are vaccinated against feline leukemia (FeLV). We say unfortunately because there is a lot of stigma and misinformation around about this virus and it's difficult to find a vet that understands it, which we will refer you to one. We can also provide you with contact information for professionals that have experience with this diagnosis to answer any questions you may have because let's be honest, Google will give you whatever answer you're looking for - ranging from telling you to immediately euthanize all the way to giving them a full life for 10+ years. Avocado would love nothing more than to be the center of your attention for however many years she gets to be on this planet, just the same as any sweet kitty should have. All of our rescues are FeLV/FIV tested, given age appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! Our adoption fee is $125 no matter age or breed.
