My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a sweet and a little bit tangy kitty? Look no further - Raisinet is your kitten. Raisinet came to TCR when he and his brother, Goober, were brought into a TNR clinic. They were so small, we couldn't imagine putting them back outside.

Raisinet is the more bold of the two siblings. He is very active and playful and will pretty much make anything into a toy. He loves playing with chase toys, like springs, catnip mice, crinkle balls and wand toys. Most of all, he loves to stalk and chase his brother, Goober. He also loves to lay on his cat tree or in a sink.

Raisinet would do well in a variety of homes, but given his age and kitten energy, he would either need to be adopted with his brother or into a home with another young, high-energy cat or kitten friend. He has not yet met a dog in foster, but may do OK with a cat-savvy pup, with proper introductions. He could likely live in a home with older, respectful kiddos.

Raisinet is about 5 months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. If you are looking for a playful, sweet new friend, apply for Raisinet today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
