Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Pippi cannot go home until she's been spayed. She can still accept visitors and applications while we wait for her to be fixed!*
Meet Pippi!
This pretty lady is estimated to be around 7 months old. She was surrendered to HSoP in search of a home that can better suit her needs. Pippi has a very timid exterior, and it takes some time for her to fully trust and feel safe around someone new. Once she sees you as a friend, Pippi finds great comfort in her human companions. Pippi is gentle and easy-going with people but her shy exterior leads her to be a bit jumpy or easily startled. She's highly treat motivated (most n' meatys are her decided favorite) which should be helpful for training.
At just around 7 months old, Pippi is full of potential! She's growing and learning everyday, and the sooner she gets herself into a loving home, the sooner she can build up her skills and become the amazing dog we know she can be. Sweet Pippi just finished up a nearly two-month-long battle with ringworm, and she's more eager than ever to find a loving forever home!
Pippi's ideal home would have no cats, a yard for her to play in, and an owner who can spend plenty of time by her side. She's extremely loyal. Pippi is usually pretty quiet indoors, but does like to practice her voice when she's outside.
To our knowledge, Pippi has not spent any time around children. She previously lived with a cat, and the two did not get along. We're recommending a home with no cats at this time, but can't say how she would do with other dogs. We require all adoptable dogs to meet any canines in the home prior to adoption, and we offer a seven-day foster period to help determine a good fit.
Pippi will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped with her new owner's information by the time she leaves HSoP. Her adoption fee is $135. If you're interested in getting to know Pippi, come pay her a visit! Our dog kennels are open 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday with no appointments needed.
