My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, My name is Mia!

I’m searching for a partner in life who wakes up each day with a smile ready for something wonderful to happen!

If you are that person then we should really meet! Ask my foster mom and any of my friends and they will tell you, I’m a girl packed full of personality and charm! I love to show off my skills like catching my treats, fetching my toys and walking like a champ on a leash! I enjoy a good conversation and you’ll find that I sit and listen as you tell me about your day.

I’m a pretty cool girl looking for a pretty cool human to spend the rest of my life with.

Hope that’s you!

MIA

Her adoption donation fee is $500.

Mia is a pure bred black and white female Shih Tzu who was surrendered to the rescue when the breeder no longer wanted her after living a sad life living in a crate and having babies. She weighs 14 pounds and is 3 year's old.

Mia is perfection.  She is the happiest girl.

If you like non stop tail wags, perfectly placed kisses, a dog to go on an adventures AND pass out on the couch with you- Mia is the one!

She is crate and house trained and rides great in the car, loves being co-pilot!

If you think Mia sounds like the missing piece of your heart, and  you are interested in meeting this little girl, please complete an online application and the foster will be in touch asap:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society .

She is heartworm negative, microchipped, and will receive her spay and vaccinations next week.

All she needs now is a forever home to call her own.

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Before you chose to adopt, check out this link for a few items to consider before making this big step: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/are-you-ready-to-adopt/
