Oh Mr. Mini Vinni, what can we say except he’s a thief of hearts!! Vinnie was born approximately February 6, 2023 and according to his DNA results he’s a serious mixed breed - mostly of the herding kind. Vinnie’s foster mom takes him with her on errands and for coffee and everyone who meets Vinnie is charmed by him. He’s very loving, playful, smart and adventurous. He’s potty trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. Vinnie gets along with most other dogs - he currently lives with several - but he can be selective of his canine companions. Vinnie gets a bit protective over his food so his foster mom feeds him in a crate. Vinnie often follows his nose and so a securely fenced yard, and if there are kids in the home, we recommend they be over the age of 10, he’s not a fan of younger, louder and quick moving littles. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
