My story

Staff have named this sweetheart, Jonny Boy.

Rescue or experienced owner needed. This long legged guy is so scared inside the shelter kennel. Once outside, his demeanor changes from petrified to timid with gentle encouragement. Once outside, he adores other dogs and opens up better to humans if other dogs are present.

We have no idea what his history or backstory is but it’s obvious his social and interaction needs were neglected. We will be assessing him further on Saturday. We have some video clips if anyone would like to see those.

Jonny Boy needs a foster or an experienced adopter who understands rehabilitating, has immense patience and the ability to see this guy through. Jonny Boy has tested positive for heartworms.
