Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Landenberg, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit.

Meet Eloise! Eloise is a 12-year-old, 17 lb, Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. She was suffering from bad skin infections and really needed some tender loving care.

Eloise received a dental and lots of medicated baths to heal her skin. She requires a daily thyroid pill which costs around $2.00 a month. Eloise also has allergies which led to her skin problems. To avoid a recurrence, she takes a daily allergy pill which costs $90 a month. She also needs to be on a prescription diet and 25 lbs of food costs $125.

Eloise is fully potty trained and can go outside or use pee pads. She has good vision and hearing and walks well on a leash. Eloise is pleasantly plump and likes to keep her stairs to a minimum. She enjoys other dogs and sleeps quietly at the end of her foster mom’s bed. Eloise doesn’t like to be over-handled so an adult-only or a home with older children would be ideal.

Eloise still has some pep in her step and really enjoys walks and playing with squeaky toys. She loves to cuddle and get pets and dreams of a home where she gets lots of attention. If you need a spunky girl to brighten your day, please apply today!
