Who doesn't love a sweet, salty biscuit? And have we got one for you! It's Biscuit, a loyal, affectionate, and smart rat terrier mix. This 16-lb. boy is only 1-2 years old--a perfectly sized, young, and cuddly companion.
Found tattered, dirty, and wandering the streets, Biscuit was brought to a shelter, where he tested positive for heartworms. Once in New Rattitude's care, he completed heartworm treatment and is now handsome, healthy, and heartworm free. He is house-trained and crate trained, although at night he would much rather sleep in bed next to you. He walks beautifully on a leash and is working on being polite to passing dogs.
Biscuit also has an independent streak. If he does not want to be picked up or moved, he will let you know with a growl or even a snap. For this reason, he would not be a good choice for a home with young children, who might not understand his need to be left alone when sleeping. His best family would be one who will love him and respect his space when he needs it. Biscuit gets along fine with most other dogs, but he would also be happy to be an only dog and have all of his humans' attention. He is a champion snuggler, a true love bug, and he will do anything to nap or sleep next to his foster parents. Please see more photos of life with Biscuit at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/biscuit.
Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old.
