My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Pea is a 5 year old female currently weighing 45 pounds. She is still a bit underweight, but in much better shape than when she came to us. Sweet Pea appears to have had a rough time so far, but we are hopeful that the right person will come along and make the rest of her life the best of her life. Sweet Pea warms up to strangers quickly and holds no ill feelings for anything in her past. She is up to date on all vaccines and will be spayed, micro chipped, given a rabies shot and heart worm test upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $200. Transportation assistance is available

Additional adoption info

Perspective adopters can find our dogs on Petfinder or social media or by just coming to the shelter. Upon choosing a dog to adopt, they will be interviewed and if the dog appears to fit their needs, the adoption will take place. If the dog is already altered, they can go home that day. If not yet altered, a vet appointment will be scheduled and the adopter can pick their dog up from the vet the day of the surgery.

More about this shelter

We are a regional shelter servicing two rural counties in Kentucky. Our shelter supports animal control and when space allows, owner surrenders. We utilize foster homes and rescues to house our dogs in addition to the kennels in our shelter. We make every effort to place our dogs in responsible loving homes.
