My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our adoption process can be found on our website here: www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/process
________________________________________________________________________________

Estimated birth date: 5/24/24

Personality: Curious, Energetic, Inquisitive, Playful, Smart

Favorite treats: Mealworms, Churu, baby teething snacks

Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Mouse & Young Rat Food, Oxbow Essentials Adult Rat Food, Shunamite style food mix

Favorite toys and activities: This girl is ALWAYS running on the wheel, it’s her favorite!

Potty trained: We're working on it!

This animal’s daily routine: Their foster scatter feeds the girls twice a day, morning and evening, and in the evening they free roam for around an hour before their foster scatters their remaining food in the cage so they’ll put themselves back in for the night.

BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Cache & Error are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction:
dog, curious and a bit nervous.
cat (no-contact exposure), which made them anxious. They are used to the smell of a cat without the cat present since they’re in a cat household

Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? no

Health concerns: Currently, this group of babies is prone to upper respiratory infection, and they are being treated. Hopefully this will resolve prior to their adoption.

Behavioral concerns: None

Other notes: Error is not as outgoing as her sister Cache, but she’s still always eager for treats and will readily take food from my hand and come out into the open to sniff me and see what I’m doing. It’s likely that with her red eyes, she doesn’t have the best vision, but since rats don’t use sight as heavily as humans do, that shouldn’t affect her once she gains a little confidence!

8/30 - Error is a clever girl and very sweet, and she even tolerates being pet when she’s asking for treats!

Cache & Error were born in rescue shortly after their mothers arrived.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Petsmart - 1640 New Brighton Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55413 for meet & greets, & adoptions.

Fee: Cache & Error have a combined adoption fee of $35

We absolutely DO NOT SHIP ANIMALS! Please do not ask.

Error's care while in rescue has not yet been sponsored. If you would like to donate to provide veterinary care, food, bedding, and enrichment for Error or other pocket pets in the care of MNPPR, please visit https://www.mnpocketpetrescue.org/sponsor-a-pocket-pet for more information.
