My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When you come to meet Peter, on his end, it's probably going to be hate at first sight. He doesn't do well with strangers.

Originally, he didn't do well with anyone. But he's come a LONG way in the last three months in his foster home.

He was one of the nastiest little hissy spitty babies ever, but has progressed leaps and bounds and definitely wants to be an inside boy.

Peter is good for nail trims with his foster mom. He can also give high fives and is target trained! He loves a good lickimat and will do anything for some chicken or turkey. He also loves pizza. We call him Pizza Peter. And a good feather wand? He's here for it.

He loves to be petted, but very much on his own terms. He has to come to you, but he's usually willing to do so if you're sitting down. He can't quite get over the instinctual jumpiness he has telling him that humans are scary and will hurt him, but he knows in his heart now that they are often holding turkey in their hands and therefore, they're cool with him.

He always wants to drink out of your cup. Or stick his paw in it. He has the loudest purr. He is amazing with other cats and currently lives with a few of his siblings and seven adult cats. We would not recommend him for a home with dogs or young children.

Peter is going to need patience. Like we said, he's going to hate you when he meets you. But we promise he will come around quickly if you give him a chance. He's a kitten, but he's definitely a harder-to-adopt cat. His foster is happy to send videos and photos and you can even FaceTime with him prior to committing for proof that he can be a very nice boy even if he hisses and growls at you in person.
