Meet the Pet
This helps Murci's Mission with pet care costs.
Chardonnay is a beautiful and functional livestock guardian dog who is said to be a Pyrenees Anatolian mix with an estimated birthdate of 11/01/2023. She came to Murci's Mission from a local family who lost control of the quantity of unaltered dogs they had.
Chardonnay is a calm and well tempered dog who successfully works as a livestock guardian dog. She has been around goats and has spent a lot of time in the goat kid pen as well. She has had no issues with ever wanting to chase any of them. She has not been around any other kinds of livestock other than goats, but she has shared a fence with chickens. She was not handled much as a puppy so is very wary of people. She does not have any fear aggression issues, so you can approach her without concern, but you do have to corner her in order to catch her. She thrives under the direction of having another older, confident, established LGD around so must go to a home with a well balanced LGD. She is amiable to other dogs and safe around children. She is recovering from entropion repair and spay and is ready to find her new calling.
Chardonnay comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her medical records, leash, collar, and ID tag. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.
