Betty came to our rescue, along with four of her siblings, from a massive, multi-group hoarding case rescue mission. She and the four other chihuahuas we took in were the most critical medical cases of the group. Her first night at our sanctuary may have been the first time in her life that she found herself enveloped in soft blankets and a warm bed. We know she and her siblings felt safe as they have slept peacefully in our care ever since!

When Betty first came to us, she was completely naked and missing all of her fur. Having had had multiple litters of puppies, while living in horrid conditions [with little to no water and proper nutrition], had taken a huge toll on her tiny little body. Now, after months of recovering from her past trauma and truly healing from the inside out, Betty is a whole new mama. Her coat has practically fully come in, and her fur is quite literally the softest chi fur we’ve ever felt.

Betty’s personality has also blossomed and flourished since being in our care. As it turns out, she is a bit of a model as she loves to dress up and show off her styles to other dogs! She is also a major cuddler, even with her doggy friends, but especially with her human family. Now ready to find a real home of her own, her ideal family would be someone who wants a cuddle bug by their side and has a doggy or two who would love to share their cozy beds with this beautiful girl. While Betty doesn’t need too much exercise, she loves to go for walks and play with toys.
