My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Mocha arrived:
Mocha was brought in by her previous owner on 6/19/24.

Why Mocha is the one for you:
Wheet wheet! This cutie is Mocha! She is a wonderful guinea pig looking for some new digs. Mocha enjoys snacks, a comfy house, and play time with her favorite humans! Guinea pigs need a lot of ground space to run around and stay healthy. Guinea pigs need lots of daily timothy hay to munch on, extra space to run around in, and toys to keep them active and enriched! Healthy greens and veggies are also an essential part of their diet, as well as a daily dose of vitamin C in the form of a supplement or an orange slice! If Mocha sounds like the guinea pig for you, come on down to our Escondido Campus and adopt her today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
